Cancellation & Refund Policy - Tap2Tour

This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the rules applicable to booking, cancellation, rescheduling and refund of trips booked through Tap2Tour via website, phone call, WhatsApp or any other communication method.

Tap2Tour is a travel coordination platform that connects customers with independent drivers and fleet owners.


1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your booking only by:

  • Calling support, OR
  • Sending a WhatsApp message on the official number

Cancellation is valid only after confirmation from Tap2Tour.

1.2 Free Cancellation

You can cancel without charge if:

  • Driver and vehicle details are NOT assigned yet

1.3 Cancellation After Driver Assignment

Once driver details are shared, the advance amount will be non-refundable because the vehicle is reserved and blocked for your trip.

1.4 Last Moment Cancellation

Time Before Pickup Charges
More than 24 hrs Partial refund (if approved)
12 - 24 hrs Advance adjusted to next trip
Less than 12 hrs No refund
Driver reached pickup Full trip charge

1.5 No-Show / Not Reachable

If passenger:

  • Does not answer calls
  • Gives wrong address
  • Is not available at pickup
  • Delays beyond 45 minutes

Then either:

  • Complete advance forfeited OR
  • Waiting charge applied

Waiting Charges (After 45 minutes):

Vehicle Type Waiting Charge
Hatchback / Sedan ₹3-₹5 per minute
SUV ₹5-₹7 per minute
Tempo Traveller ₹10 per minute

1.6 Force Majeure (Uncontrollable Situations)

If trip cannot happen due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Floods / road block
  • Government restrictions
  • Riots / strike
  • Pandemic
  • Border closure

Tap2Tour may issue a credit voucher equal to the advance amount (no expiry). No cash refund will be provided.


2. Refund Policy

2.1 Refund Processing

  • Process time: 5-10 working days
  • Credited to original payment mode

Tap2Tour is not responsible for incorrect bank/UPI details provided by the customer.

2.2 When Customer Gets Credit Voucher / Refund

Customer may receive voucher or refund if:

  • Driver cancels last moment and replacement not arranged
  • Vehicle breaks down and trip cannot continue
  • Tap2Tour unable to provide service after confirmation
  • Major itinerary change approved by Tap2Tour

Decision type (refund or credit) will be decided by Tap2Tour.

2.3 Payments Made Directly to Driver

Tap2Tour is not responsible for any money paid directly to driver outside invoice. Such disputes must be settled with the driver.

2.4 Misconduct or Damage

No refund will be given if passenger:

  • Misbehaves with driver
  • Uses alcohol/drugs inside vehicle
  • Damages vehicle
  • Violates law

Tap2Tour may also block future bookings.

2.5 Third-Party Liability

Drivers are independent partners.

Tap2Tour is not liable for:

  • Accidents
  • Delays
  • Luggage loss
  • Personal loss

However, we will assist in coordination.


3. Important Notes

  • Advance = booking confirmation fee
  • Advance blocks vehicle and date
  • Therefore mostly non-refundable
  • Refunds are exceptions, not standard
